Synthetic turf manufacturer donates trees to Carbonfund.org’s Million Tree Challenge for Earth Day 2012.
Austin, Texas (April 20, 2012) – As a socially-conscious company, ACT Global Sports is committed to maintaining a sustainable business model and reducing its environmental footprint. This year the company will honor Earth Day 2012 by donating trees to be planted as part of Carbonfund.org’s Million Tree Challenge.
Carbonfund.org launched the Million Tree Challenge on Earth Day 2010, and hopes to reach its goal of one million trees planted by the end of 2012. In celebration of this year’s Earth Day, Carbonfund.org has organized a “three-for-two” promotion, in which the company pledges to plant one tree for every two donated by it’s CarbonFree® partners. The trees are planted in formal, verified tree-planting projects all over the world.
ACT Global Sports joined the CarbonFree® partner program in 2008. The program allows businesses to calculate, reduce and offset their carbon footprint through regular donations, which are used for reforestation and various clean energy projects.

The popular national television show “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel is airing the All-American Summer Concert Series every Friday through September 2. Last Friday May 27, an excited crowd in New York City enjoyed an outdoor picnic on our Xtreme Lawn before the famous band Plain White T’s performed in front of them. The show airs from 6am to 9am Eastern Standard Time. Enjoy!!!
