Act Global Installs Indoor Practice Field at Round Rock High School

Round Rock, TX—The Round Rock Dragons football team upgrades their practice field to artificial grass.

The Xtreme Turf installed at Round Rock High School is Act Global’s DXT system. The DXT incorporates a layer of thatch fibers to help lock infill in place, and monofilament fibers which add shock absorbency. We recommend a DXT for indoor facilities because of its low maintenance paired with performance benefits.

Indoor facilities are prominent in states like Texas because they eliminate weather interference such as rainstormshigh heat, and humidity.

Round Rock High School is located about 9 miles north of our corporate office, making this project extra special to the Act Global family.

Act Global’s corporate office is participating in Field of Dream Uganda’s Dresses for Dreams 5K.

There are 3 race hubs this year located in Cabool and Higginsville, Missouri, and Evansville, Indiana. Around 700 runners are registered for the race in the US and over 200 are registered in Uganda.

Due to the pandemic, Austin is unable to host a hub, but runners can register and participate virtually in the run.

They partner with nine schools in the Central and Northern regions of Uganda selected based on need, school leadership, community engagement, and support for their mission.

The 5K raises funds for Field of Dreams Uganda’s girl empowerment initiatives and serves more than 3,000 female students and teachers across Uganda.
