This May work commenced to revitalize the Voetbalvereniging AD69 soccer club in Aalten, Netherlands. The multi-stage project required resurfacing of three fields including a full sized field, the goal areas of a second fields, and Xtreme Turf on a third field. By July, both the Xtreme Turf and the Xtreme Grass had been installed and the hybrid areas were ready for seeding. This process was planned far enough in the future that all fields would be ready for play by fall training.
The official grand opening of the south sport park was last week to celebrate completion of the renovation. Check out this video of the installation of our Xtreme Grass product!

The new Xtreme Turf field will now serve as the main field for practices, scrimmages, and training for each of the club’s teams. The full-sized field is proven to resist damage despite high-use situations and climatic conditions.
Work on the pitch has been completed and it is ready for use.

Synthetic turf is a cost-effective alternative to natural grass that usually pays for itself within 3-4 years in part due to reduced maintenance and care requirements. By eliminating the need for consistent mowing, irrigation, chemical treatments, artificial grass gives players the opportunity to spend more time on the field. While much less time and money are necessary for the upkeep of synthetic turf fields, there are techniques we recommend to maximize playability and the life of the field.

Act Global understands the need for player safety and uses extensive research-backed engineering and natural grass benchmark testing to develop artificial grass surfaces that address this. The growth in synthetic turf gives schools, facilities, and communities a unique opportunity to select a field that is superior to traditional surfaces by using scientific advancements. It is up to the individuals in charge of their athlete’s safety to demand safer surfaces and Act Global already strives to exceed this charge.
