Since its founding in 1918, Zvv AZC has been a soccer club with the purpose of creating a community of teams that are united by their love for the sport. AZC believes that this love starts with children which is why there is a specific emphasis on encouraging children of all ages to participate in football. The club is made up of over 40 teams, including senior, youth, and G-league. The club plays at its own sports park in Zutphen which is continuously updated to keep the club modern.
Preparing for summer 2018 AZC elected to reinforce one of its current fields with Xtreme Grass technology. Xtreme Grass is a hybrid system that reinforces natural grass’ playability properties with the strength of artificial grass. Because the hybrid turf pitch serves as both a competitive surface and as a training ground for each of the teams at AZC, it was important to the club to have a highly-functional field that could withstand damage and divots.
This installation was possible through the work of our international installer, Hofmeijer. The team at Hofmeijer specializes in the construction and maintenance of sports fields.

Act Global is honored to have the privilege of serving athletes worldwide by providing reliable and safe synthetic turf systems. This summer three football facilities in Poland are building or upgrading their fields to Act Global’s trusted Xtreme Turf systems.
KS Pradniczanka
The local Polish football club KS Pradniczanka dates back to the early 1900’s. Since its beginnings, the club has continued to grow to be a predominate staple in the Kraków community. As part of a strategy to build a 21st-century sports park, KS Pradniczanka has designed a facility that utilizes the best resources for its teams. Athletes of the new park will have a full-sized artificial grass pitch that is engineered with strict quality controls that allow the turf system to perform like natural grass while extending the life of the field.
Polish No-Infill Pitch
Coming September 2018 is Act Global’s first installation of our no-infill system to Poland. The technology of Xtreme Turf NFF makes this system perfect for high-intensity play. The high-density artificial grass product meets FIFA standards for ball roll, bounce, shock absorption, and rotational resistance for enhanced player performance that allows teams to train harder.
Silesia Sports Park
A third Polish football facility has selected Act Global’s Xtreme Turf to be installed in summer 2018. This sports park is renovating its infrastructure to better serve local teams and individuals who want access to a premium pitch for practice and competitive play. The installation of artificial grass is part of a project to modernize and expand the full facility.

As the home base and training center for several teams, Voetbalvereniging AD69 was founded in 1969 with roots even earlier. The Netherlands soccer club came from the merging of VV Alten and DVO and was officially recognized by the KNVB as a soccer club on July 1st. Growing to over 500 members and a children’s program that is under constant expansion, the teams of Voetbalvereniging AD69 compete in the 3rd class of KNVB.
Throughout the years the club has continued to renovate its sports park to ensure every facet of its facility is modern and up to date for its athletes. In February, it was announced that Sportpark Zuid’s 3 fields would be resurfaced to high-quality artificial grass with the reputation to meet strict international standards. Beginning in May, work was commenced on to install 3 bocce fields with Xtreme Turf, outfit field 2 and the goal areas on field 3 with Xtreme Grass hybrid technology, and create a highly durable multipurpose with Xtreme Turf.
Voetbalvereniging AD69’s Sportpark Zuid selected both Xtreme Turf and Xtreme Grass systems from Act Global for the products’ emphasis on player safety and performance. The new surfaces at the sports park will service players aging from small children to young adult, making it vital for a natural interaction between the players and the synthetic turf.
The final step in this installation will be applying necessary labels to the fields.

Sportpark Oranje is a local Netherlands football facility that hosts gameplay for several teams in the area. Of these, VV Oranje Nassau Roden (ONR) comprises 5 senior teams, 14 youth teams, and 3 G-teams that utilize the fields of Sportpark Oranje. From these teams, a lasting culture of sportsmanship and love for the game has been created at the park. Each player who competes at Sportpark Oranje is driven by the pursuit to develop their own skills, as well as the skills of their peers, and continue to progress the growth of competition in their community.
Our partner, Hofmeier, ensuring Sportpark Oranje’s new field is installed perfectly.
To continue to support the high level of play at the facility, Sportpark Oranje upgraded to an artificial grass pitch manufactured by Act Global. The park selected a sand-dressed synthetic turf system with proven performance to aid in natural football playing characteristics and accommodate the varying needs of players that differ in age and skill level.

Xtreme Grass is a reinforced natural grass system that can be utilized for full field installations or high wear zones. The system features an open weave mat-backing and synthetic turf fibers that allow natural grass to grow upwards between the polyethylene fibers and roots to penetrate down through the woven backing. The synthetic and natural components become integrated into the pitch, resulting in a high-performing, natural sports surface that offers significantly more playing hours than unreinforced grass.
The installation of Xtreme Grass is simple. After the preparation of a sand or native soil base, the Xtreme Grass product is added with a growing medium and seeding. Next, brushing and top dressing of the system spur fertilization, germination, and plant establishment. The system creates a micro-climate that facilitates quicker germination and thicker ground cover than traditional grass systems alone. This acceleration of plant establishment results in stronger grass growth with more even root zone development.
Xtreme Grass’ vertical permeability from the woven backing prevents plant diseases and propagation. By enhancing the performance of natural grass, Xtreme Grass offers the advantages of a natural grass sports field to athletes while increasing resistance to tearing and shearing and extending the life of the field. Xtreme Grass provides a playing surface with low deformation to prevent injuries caused by fatigue and limits compaction to prevent unnaturally high ball bounce to improve player comfort.
In a study comparing Xtreme Grass to natural grass, each system underwent a simulation of 3 NFL games/week with the Brinkman Traffic Simulator. At the end of the study, Xtreme Grass maintained a 10% denser ground cover and better plant establishment. Xtreme Grass has also been shown to extend playing hours by 30% and allow for at least 25 hours of play per week throughout the playing season.
With no PU or Latex coating, Xtreme Grass systems are designed to be 100% recyclable at end of life.
