The ability to participate in athletic activities helps to build team spirit and enhance motor skills to ensure that every child can make the most out of the school’s program.
To encourage participation in play, Reach British School features a child-sized football field created with Act Global artificial grass. The Xtreme Turf line was selected for the school for its international recognition and trusted performance. Our UAE partner, Raymond Sport was instrumental to the installation by providing superior support prior, during, and after the completion of the project.

Connecticut Association of School Business Officials is dedicated to creating an environment where school officials from different districts can discuss and share ideas. Each year the association hosts a vendor day to allow school representatives and companies to come together to discuss technological advancements and progress in every sector of education management.
Today our sales manager for the area will be attending the event to share ideas and experiences of how athletic surfaces can continue to be improved. SSV Rhade is a sports club located in the western German town of Dorsten. The club offers a variety of indoor and outdoor sports at a variety of age and competition levels to encourage all players to stay active through sport. The club has been present within the Dorsten village for over 92 years. This year, aligned with the 800th anniversary of the village, SSV Rhade elected to construct a new synthetic turf soccer field at Sportpark Dahlenkamp. The Act Global-artificial grass pitch will serve as the basis for a modern, up-to-date training within the club with one of the most technically advanced turf systems available. SSV Rhade now has a professional quality turf system that will allow coaches to work with players and encourage healthy lifestyles year-round- a top priority for the club.

The 2018 Grass Yarn & Tufters Forum wrapped up yesterday in Barcelona, Spain. Act Global CEO John Baize joined industry leaders from around the world to participate in a forward-thinking dialogue of technical and commercial developments in the artificial grass and synthetic turf supply-chain. Each year this global conference offers diverse perspectives on some of the most critical topics facing the industry including key issues going on in the rest of the world, the latest technological advancements, trends for future developments, and how structural changes to the industry will impact future growth.
One of the most exciting results of AMI 2018 was the announcement to synchronize the world market for synthetic turf.
“Great news coming out of this week’s AMI conference in Barcelona as the Synthetic Turf Council (STC) and The European Synthetic Turf Organisation (ESTO) sign a Mutual Letter of understanding to join forces and approach the market as one global industry association. One area Act Global continues to research is the interaction between player’s footwear and a ground’s surface. Due to differentiation in footwear from sport to sport, changes in vertical deformation, traction, deceleration, and slip resistance within a surface may yield significant differences in safety and performance. Optimizing these factors to engineer balanced synthetic turf systems can reduce some of the most common injuries athletes face on the field. Artificial grass features numerous characteristics that enhance the system overall such as infill particle size, level of compaction, and fiber type, and the most common movements of sports can vary from straight running to slalom, cutting and turning maneuvers, and landing after jumps. These are important factors that directly affect how each Act Global turf system is designed. Act Global aims to use research to make artificial grass act as a piece of protective sports equipment by maximizing the interaction between shoes and surfaces.
