Tampa Bay Rowdies on their way to USL Championship

The Tampa Bay Rowdies beat Louisville City FC 2-1 this Saturday becoming USL Eastern Conferences champions.

The Rowdies will face the Phoenix Rising on Nov. 1 at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Our Florida partner, Burke Construction, installed Act Global’s Xtreme Turf at the team’s practice facility last year.

At Act Global, we use player safety research and data to design our artificial grass surfaces. This means creating a system that is unique to the needs of the sport and the player.

Bronxville Union Free High School Upgrades Chambers Field with Act Global Synthetic Turf

After witnessing the large success and durability of Hayes Field since 2015, the district knew exactly who to turn to in the selection of synthetic turf for their Chambers Field. It was no question having seen it withstand flooding and snowstorms on top of its extensive daily usage each day over the course of four years.

Act Global partner, HERA SPORTS, installed a new Act Global Xtreme Turf BDX50 field for the school’s football, soccer and lacrosse teams. Like Hayes Field, the new Chambers Field will showcase GreenPlay’s custom infill blend of coconut fibers and cork and use the ProPlay-Sport23 product by Schmitz Foam. The ProPlay pad ensures that the playing surface is shock absorbent and safe to play on and the organic infill option helps support the movement of “going green”. This system will ensure adequate gradient drainage of water to help combat against harsh weather and flooding.

Now that the high school will have two synthetic fields at their disposal instead of one, the practice and game day schedule for their football, soccer and lacrosse teams will become easier and more flexible for years to come. The new field will be able to quickly fix past issues and help student-athletes continue to develop their skills and sportsmanship with the added playtime a synthetic turf field provides, approximately six times more than the average natural grass field.

“Act Global is honored to be chosen for the field replacement at their stadium, Chambers Field,” said Act Global General Manager for Sales and Operations, Jerry Harper. “The success of our BDX50 system at Hayes Field, Bronxville Union Free School Districts Multipurpose Field, provide the Broncos the most state-of-the-art facilities in the area.”

The school district, Act Global and HERA SPORTS are confident in the turf system for Chambers Field. The world-class turf company hopes to continue to touch the lives of the student body as much as it has with Hayes Field, serving the multitude of communities across the district.

Things are looking to the future in Peru! Act Global Partner Ferrol Sport installed an Act Global Xtreme Turf field for Estadio Municipal El Porvenir. The brand new FIFA qualified facility will be used for training for the Federation of Soccer of Peru!

The purpose of the Peruvian Federation of Football is to transform soccer in Peru and turn it into an engine of social and sports change. Their goal is to return the love and passion of the sport to the 30 million Peruvians who live in the country.

As part of their plan to professionalize management and include the involvement and support of clubs and interest groups across the country, the FPF made the decision to bring on the Act Global team to tailor their sports needs. The turf used was the Xtreme Turf D60-360, a product engineered for player safety and performance and designed specifically for soccer.

Act Global and Ferrol Sport are proud of the work done for the Federation of Soccer of Peru! We are excited that soccer players around the area will get to use the facility to better their skills and build comradery while minimizing injury. Act Global and USL Continue to Challenge the Standard For Soccer

Last year, Act Global and USL joined together in a partnership to revolutionize the synthetic turf fields used for soccer. As the Official Synthetic Turf supplier for all league properties, Act Global is the #1 trusted athletic surface within professional and developmental soccer. The hundreds of teams that make up the USL, USL D3, PDL, and the Super Y Leagues deserve a pitch they can trust to support their safety and performance. With Act Global artificial grass, athletes and coaches can be confident that their sports field emulates natural ball roll, reinforces proper traction, and discourages excessive twists/turns of the joints. This is backed by extensive testing measures that assure our turf meets strict international standards of safety and performance set by the FIFA initiative. This standard benchmarks facilities around the world to regulate the quality of sports fields that athletes play on.

We are thrilled to continue to work with the USL organization on this ongoing effort.

FIFA Quality Programme- Our Promise

The FIFA Quality Programme is a code of standards meant to grow the game of football across the world. The programme sets requirements for product specifications and ethical business practices so that players, clubs, and associations can be confident that the companies they work with are as dedicated to football as they are. FIFA has spent years working with top research teams across the world to protect players by identifying areas of improvement for safety and performance. In working with universities and sports organizations, the programme is able to use scientific insights to improve its regulations. By demanding compliance with the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), FIFA can monitor each company’s adherence to corporate social responsibility on a yearly basis. WFSGI’s pledge to the FIFA Quality Programme establishes a continuous renewal of commitment to bettering the world through sound business practices.

Football is a community. The FIFA Quality Programme is expanding our world community through sport.

Act Global takes deep pride to be recognized by FIFA as a Quality Licensee. Engineering safer, more comfortable sports surfaces for athletes across the world is our top priority, and we applaud the effort by FIFA to raise the standard for synthetic turf surfaces. Act Global utilizes FIFA’s benchmarks in every step of our product manufacturing process- from development to production- to ensure that our artificial grass systems meet the highest internationally-set standards. We promise to continue to abide by these standards so that we can help improve our world through labor rights while developing the game of football.
