The new artificial grass field installed by The KYA Group offers a professional level sports system to southern California school.
Austin, TX- Known to keep elite facilities for its athletes, Citrus College elected to revitalize its main field with leading synthetic turf technology. This summer The KYA Group expertly installed the artificial grass system before practice for the 2018 season began.
As a replacement for the outdated field, the Xtreme Turf system was selected for its reputation for safety and strength. The Citrus College Stadium has a long history of being used as a filming destination, meaning the field must remain camera-ready throughout the year. Xtreme Turf combines science with aesthetics to be safe for athletes, durable against damage, and beautiful for fans.
Citrus College’s new turf offers a bright and bold surface solution for a field that is utilized by multiple sports teams. The vivid markings make it easy for players and fans to distinguish their field lines. Finished off with a bold blue and orange border, the synthetic turf field rests beautifully in front of the college’s mountainous surroundings.
“The field couldn’t look better,” comments KYA regional director Andrea Ivey while visiting the site after completion. “We can’t wait to get players on the field so they can experience the turf themselves- we know the coaches are excited for game day.”

Round Rock, TX—The Round Rock Dragons football team upgrades their practice field to artificial grass.
The Xtreme Turf installed at Round Rock High School is Act Global’s DXT system. The DXT incorporates a layer of thatch fibers to help lock infill in place, and monofilament fibers which add shock absorbency. We recommend a DXT for indoor facilities because of its low maintenance paired with performance benefits.
Indoor facilities are prominent in states like Texas because they eliminate weather interference such as rainstorms, high heat, and humidity.
Round Rock High School is located about 9 miles north of our corporate office, making this project extra special to the Act Global family.

Act Global and adidas made a commitment to reduce the use of virgin plastics by co-donating a full-size multipurpose field with infill made from recycled ocean plastic.

Miami Edison High School resides in a low-income neighborhood where many areas can be dangerous places for kids to live and play. They deserve better opportunities to help them persevere and grow despite the unfortunate obstacles they’re forced to overcome. Studies have proven that sports can provide those, however, Miami Edison’s student-athletes were unable to play any home games due to a lack of proper playing surface. Adidas and Act Global changed that by co-donating a high-quality synthetic turf field, showing these kids that people do care and are willing to invest in them much like their teachers, coaches, and parents.
“We believe that through sport we have the power to change lives, and this field is a demonstration of our taking action on that belief. More than a place for these young athletes to play, it’s a reminder of our collective responsibility to end plastic waste,” said Cameron Collins, adidas North America’s director of football.
The athletes of Miami Edison High school set foot on the surface for the first time for a 7-on-7 tournament during Super Bowl LIV weekend where they took a pledge to avoid single-use plastic bottles.
“The inner-city Miami students are important with huge hearts and a bright future if we help them. They are no different than you or me but are in vastly different circumstances. Let’s all continue to work together to make this world a better place,” said John Baize, Act Global founder and CEO.

Every year, 8 million metric tons of plastics enter our ocean on top of the estimated 150 million metric tons that currently circulate our marine environments according to Parley for the Oceans.
We engineered an innovative way to take salvaged ocean plastic and synthesize it into a TPE infill. Through this project, man-made pollution affecting oceans and coastal areas is reversed.
Our initiative to help reverse the pollution problem and invent ways to reuse plastic waste is a huge step in moving the synthetic turf industry toward greater levels of sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.
