The Act Global synthetic turf field will be a part of the sports platform used by the Chris Canty Foundation to positively affect change in the lives of children.
Since 2010, the Chris Canty Foundation has sought to empower the youth to be a force of positive impact on their communities through mentoring, educational programs, and the promotion of health, fitness, and well being. The foundation utilizes the five core values of hope, service, respect, justice, and compassion both to foster the development of youth and to conduct an ethical and transparent business.
“The ultimate goal of the Chris Canty Foundation is to mold and develop well-rounded, character-driven individuals possessing the mental, physical, and emotional strength to win in the game of life as well as promote local and global change through community service”- Joseph Canty, President.
In addition to its year-round efforts, the Chris Country Foundation also hosts an annual “Camp of Champions” as a way to teach children how to channel their competitive nature and expose them to the rewards of winning. The two-day camp focuses on building leaders on the field, encouraging communication, and teaching the fundamentals of discipline and hard work.
We’re proud to be a small part of this organization by manufacturing a multipurpose field for their camps and special events. We hope to see the foundation continue to grow and spread its impact to more communities across the nation. Cracovia Krakow is the oldest Polish football club still in existence and has competed since its founding on June 13, 1906. The 111 year-history of the club closely intertwines with the history of Poland itself, which is why patriotism and tradition are integrated into the sports club. From the red and white colors of the club to the attitude of openness, tolerance and respect for other cultures and nationalities bear respect for history and the club’s values. The club also emphasizes the ideals of “fair play” as an approach for success in both sports and life. This standard stresses the important of honorability, loyalty, and honesty; fair play is the impartial and equitable treatment of others and the presentation of high ethical and moral standards. KC Cracovia believes in fostering not only the growth of athletes but also building and strengthening their community through common values and traditions.
The Polish football club recently renovated their 1912-originating stadium to modernize its training base in Krakow. Part of the upgrades included a new, top-quality synthetic turf pitch from Act GLobal. Hurlburt Field is a base for the United States Air Force located in Okaloosa, Florida. The base is home Air Force Special Operations Command, the 505th Command and Control Wing, and a number of other associate units, with the 1st Special Operations Wing serving as the host unit.
The carefully crafted Xtreme Turf field has served the US Air Force base since its installation in 2010. The synthetic turf system was selected to provide a professional sports surface that will is both engineered to keep servicemen and women safe as well as durable enough to withstand heavy daily use. Act Global artificial grass is benchmarked against the top natural grass fields and backed by over 100 individual laboratory tests to deliver a supportive surface with the best balances between shock absorption and vertical deformation, traction and skin friendliness, and deceleration and slip resistance.
“We here at Hurlburt are unique in the amount of physical training and running that goes on day to day, with thousands of people using this field every day,” said Colonel Lengyel. “This wore down the old field and kept us continually closing it down for maintenance. Lusitano Stadium is a soccer stadium located in the New England town of Ludlow, Massachusetts, and home to USL Premier Development League’s Western Mass Pioneers. The team was founded in 1997 after a friendly wager at the Gremio Lusitano club among friends led to team president Celso Correia to form the Western Mass Pioneers Soccer Team. Since then, the Pioneers have reigned as regular season champions and hosted the National Championship match of USL’s Second Division before joining the PDL in 2010. The team is committed exceptional and local talent while providing athletes the opportunity to advance in the US Soccer system. The organization as a whole dedicates itself to present the game day experience at the highest levels possible, which has made the Pioneers consistently rank among the top teams in attendance.
In 2015 Lusitano Stadium upgraded to a FIFA Certified, professional play synthetic turf field to enhance player safety and performance. The Xtreme Turf system was selected and installed by ProGrass for the artificial grass’ proven durability and playability. The artificial grass is engineered and tested to offer a superior playing surface for the players by offering a surface that is fast under the foot and provide sufficient firmness to limit fatigue injuries to the lower extremities of the player’s body. The synthetic turf system also provides proper Rotational Resistance (traction) to ensure foot stability and to enable quick release of the shoes during rotation and traction movements. The surface also maintains consistent and uniform ball-to-surface interaction for superior ball control. Each of these components protects players so that the Western Mass Pioneers can play at their best.

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team will take on the Korea Republic Women’s National Football team tonight at 7:00 PM at the SMG managed Mercedes Benz Superdome. Tonight’s match is one of only four games left in the U.S. Women’s Team’s 2017 schedule, the first of a doubleheader of friendlies against the Korea Republic. These two teams have not met since 2015 which resulted in a 0-0 draw.
The United States Women’s Soccer Team is a three-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner and the most successful team in international women’s soccer. The team currently occupies the number one position in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings, a position it has held almost continuously since March 2008.
In tonight’s match at the Superdome, the U.S. Women’s team will test the durability and playability of the recently installed Act Global synthetic turf.
